Governance
Our experience at HTSPE tells us that creating governance can be one of the greatest challenges of today for our many clients.
We strive to make the process smoother, totally accountable and fully sustainable.
Our teams are drawn from government, from private enterprise and from non-governmental organisations (NGOs), skilled at working across all three sectors and with years of experience at hand to draw upon.

Balancing interests
HTSPE has many years’ experience in both developed and developing countries, finding solutions that ensure accountability and an appropriate balance between economic growth and sustainability; between regulation and the market; and between public welfare and private interests.
During the 1980s, the company led the move from traditional integrated rural development to the modern concepts of governance and growth.
For example, our work with Nigeria local led to a national scheme that reorganised the way local government was supported.
Valued experience
During this time, we also worked with the UK Government to establish the new concepts of Executive Agencies and outsourcing public services.
We are proud of the breadth of experience we have built up and now we are supporting work in countries as varied as Indonesia, Moldova and Nigeria.
Even in post-conflict areas, such as Nicaragua during the early 1990s, our teams have worked to help local government overcome the deepest of divisions.
