Asia and the Pacific
HTSPE has been active in Asia since 1959 where we carried out the Mangla Watershed Management Study in Pakistan. We now have a permanent office in Pakistan in addition to local representatives and project offices across the region.
We have experience of working in a wide range of social, political and economic situations and our UK-based management team has extensive experience in the region.
HTSPE’s current work in the region encompasses: water resources; earthquake monitoring and evaluation; livestock; agriculture policy and food supply chains; poverty reduction; sustainable and alternative livelihoods; rural support and climate change adaptation.
HTSPE Pakistan
In 2005, building on our project experience in the region and honouring our commitment to maximise the use of local knowledge and expertise, HTSPE established a branch office in Islamabad. The office, managed by knowledgeable and highly experienced staff, is fully supported by our head office in the UK and the director and members of our Asia team make regular visits to Pakistan. HTSPE Pakistan is registered to the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2008 quality standard, and was amongst the first consultancy firms in Pakistan to achieve this standard.
HTSPE Pakistan has carried out projects for major donors including the Government of Pakistan, European Union, UK Department for International Development, USAID, AusAID, UNDP, CIDA and the Asian Development Bank, throughout Pakistan and also in Afghanistan.
See the HTSPE Pakistan Capability Statement for further information.
