Project Background
The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) is funding training proposals for four districts of South Punjab, namely Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargah and Lodhran. The purpose of the vocational training is to promote income generation opportunities for the poor and vulnerable. Selected training organisations will be contracted for individual assignments. HTSPE has been awarded the contract for the Skills for Employability programme, launched by the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF). HTSPE will be conducting the technical training with the assistance of the National Training Bureau (NTB). Detailed responsibilities include:
HTSPE will be facilitating training to 360 trainees in eight different trades. Targetted training courses will be followed by a period of on-the-job training. Training will be undertaken in the following trades:
The HTSPE team is divided into a project management and a training delivery component and will be responsible for publicising the training at each location. Reports on the training process will be supplied to the PSDF for monitoring and evaluation purposes. |
